The idea that development can at the same time reduce both social inequalities and environmental pressures has made its way through the Madeco team. Throughout the years, Madeco has implemented pro-active policies that demonstrate a greater sense of social and environmental responsibility, and the importance of values such as participation and sharing.
Madeco has been supporting the Alzheimer Society for many years by organising an annual fundraiser. In 2006, Madeco built the Francesco Bellini House and generously donated it to the Alzheimer Society.
In building terms, this translates into using : the best technologies available or environmental technologies whenever possible, better waste management, high environmental quality material, intelligent urban planning, etc. These policies allow Madeco home-owners to benefit from long-term durability and lower energy costs.
